Convertibles make you deaf!?

2011 Jaguar XKR Convertible burnout
Apparently scientists have decided that they haven't ruined our lives enough by telling us not to do things. We can’t eat anything that tastes good because it probably will clog our arteries, we can’t watch TV because we will ruin our eyes and we can’t eat lots of sugar because it will ruin our teeth. I mean are they even listening to themselves?? All of that aside, scientists are now crossing the line. They are trying to take away the last good thing we have left. Driving. More specifically, driving convertibles. Apparently driving convertibles will ruin your ears because at certain points, the sound level can reach 90 db which surpasses the 85 db “safe work limit”. They advise that anyone driving a convertible should wear earplugs or put the top back up if you exceed 52 miles per hour. All I can do is laugh…as if anyone will actually wear earplugs while driving….if anything that sounds even more dangerous because you won’t be able to hear other cars and pedestrians around you. You guys do what you want but given the choice between running someone over and a very minute chance of me going deaf I would take latter every time.
