Gaining Battery on the Incredible

Everyone that has a Droid Incredible with Verizon knows that battery can be a hot issue that needs to be solved, along with many of my other posts I have found another beneficial way to gain more battery. 

Well it isn't a secret that the pre-installed applications that Verizon has takes up porccessing power which inturn takes up battery power. So how can we get rid of these unwanted apps? Well first off you will have to be rooted to do what it takes to not have these apps, and I can show you how in one of my previous posts, here. 

So now that you are rooted we are going to install a ROM, alternate software, that takes away those apps and helps you battery. The new software download can be found here and credited to jaykresge. Once you have the zip file you can place it on your sd card and flash it using ROM manager which can also be downloaded from the market. After you flash it all of your data will still be there and the Verizon applications will not be. The developer also put the original kernel in the ROM to enhance battery. So there you have it.
